Wash hands before handling hardware Lets get started!*************************
Preparing the case
*************************1. Install power supply. Screw in all screws untill it is firm and secure.
2. Insert DVD drive into case drive bays. Be sure to place it close enough for your SATA/IDE cable to reach.
3. Install case fans. (Intake fans at front of case, exhaust in back and top.) Good airflow is assential.
*************************
Preparing the motherboard
*************************1. Place CPU in socket. Latch down the rod to secure.
2. Apply thermalpaste to cpu. Please refer to your manual as the proper way to add thermal paste varies depending on your cpu.
3. Place your heatsink on top of cpu and latch it into place. Be sure all parts of the heatsink are latched down. A loose cpu heatsink usualy results in high temperatures.
4. Insert RAM.
5. DO NOT install the video card yet.*************************************
Installing motherboard and connecting cables
*************************************1. Gently place your motherboard into your case. If your motherboard came with ''risers'', be sure to use them. Do not over tighten the screws. You dont want it too tight or too lososee. Just snug.
2. Install your Video card. Latch down and secure.***************************
Install Hard drive
***************************Place hard drive into your drive bay and secure.
**************************
Connecting cables
***************************Connect CPU power cable to motherboard
*Connect Powersupply cables. (cables go to the video card, hard drive. Also connect power cables to case fans and lights if you have them.
*Connect the cables from your case such as the power on cable, and reset cable. (if your case doesnt have a reset button then dont worry about this)
*Connect IDE/SATA cables.
*Please refer to your manual if I left anything out.Now plug it into the wall and hope for the best!If i left anything out i'm sorry. Feel free to ask questions!I hope this guide helps :D Basic Guide on Building a Computer
