If you want to play all game with max graphic setting... it last this year... You should change your HD 3870 with HD4870...How much longer will my computer last ?

Why would his system last longer? Doesn't make sense.
If you want to play all game with max graphic setting... it last this year... You should change your HD 3870 with HD4870...
This answer is misleading. Should have just said, change the GPU and it will last 2 more years. End of story. I would wait for HD4870x2 seeing as how you're not time pressured. It's just around the corner and it should perform dead even with HD4870 Crossfire if not better in SOME games. If you have a crossfire mobo, you're set for Quadfire. 2 years sounds about right. Depends how Nehalem turns out. Just be happy with your build, make the necessary changes here and there, like the GPU, add a few touches and go with the flow. Technology will always change rapidly when it comes to PC gaming, so dont expect to hold onto your build for a long time. I would suggest to stop looking at the technology and look at the games. Are the games utilizing all of this technology like DDR3 and Nehalem, etc? If not, then dont sweat it.. Crysis is probably like the only game on the planet that is demanding. Your build can probably run all games besides Crysis on max for another year or two.
