Building a PC - can you help me pick out parts?

Hi! OK I have decided I will build a PC. :D But I need help with exactly WHAT I need to buy, what will be compatible with what, etc... Can you help pick out all the parts I would need to build the following? Thanks! (BTW I am from Canada so sadly I can't use newegg *cries*)I'm looking for one with:
Quad Core CPU
4 GB RAM
A really good video card (Recommendations??? :D)
Harddrive size doesn't really matter, maybe 300GB or whateverThe amount I wanna spend is around $1000 (not including tax), I can be flexible if it means big performance upgrade (like $1250 or even higher), but yeah. :D Just looking to build a good PC that will be able to play alot of the latest games and future games at high settings. I don't even know what to look for in a motherboard or power supply or anything like that though, so that's why I need help. So can you recommend me all of the parts and stuff that I would need to build my own? Thanks! :DBuilding a PC - can you help me pick out parts?

Get either the 4850 or 4870, they are by far the best value for money right now!
I recommend the following parts:Gpu: sapphire ati 4870 Cpu :q6600Mother board: Gigabyte GA x48 (with upgrade to crossfire in mind)Ram: 2x2 g.skill 800Mhz Cpu fan:Arctic cooler Freezer 7 pro Case: Antec 900 Hard disk: Western Digital 500gbPsu:Thermaltake 700 (with modular cabling) total :1165 $I hope that this might help younote:I am sure 100% that all of these components are compatable, however,I can decrease the total amount of paid money by choosing other items (but might not be as future proof)

TC, just make sure you get a Thermaltake TOUGHPOWER. If it's not Toughpower, then pass on Thermaltake and go for Corsair. If you hate messy cables, get a modular Corsair.

This looks like a great PC. I'm liking the price and everything! This looks awesome and I think I will get this. :D Thanks again!
Yeah, it's a great PC. You'll be maxing every game, except Crysis unless you overclock. Have fun. G.skill Ram and Thermaltake's modular cabling is a nice touch. ;)
:) Ah, one more question, what about the CD drive to play games? Is there a certain type I would need or would any one work?
