What is and Open GL????

I have been planning on buying call of duty for my pc so i downloadedthe demo from here and it says my drivers need an open GL.I really want to play this game since I played 2-4 on my 360I do not know which driver it is in and my pc is 7 years old so it has a microsoft internal graphics card.I really want to buy this game because it looks better than finest hour. Please help me!!!!!What is and Open GL????
OpenGL is the open-source competitor to Direct3D. Basically, when you program how a game renders 3D models, it requires some kind of interface with the video card. So, video cards support DirectX (Direct3D) or OpenGL. They're just 2 different programming APIs (like libraries) that a game developer can choose to use to program the game.Your old integrated video card may or may not support OpenGL. You'd have to check what it is. I'm assuming it's a GMA900/950. I believe the GMA900 does support OpenGL, so you might be able to play it...sort of.*edit* since you're talkin about CoD1, then you should be able to play that on a 7year PC, but you should list your hardware specs. What is and Open GL????
Dell Demension 4100P3 833 mhz128mb raminternal graphics card
So where do I get the programand i cannot find the driver for the graphics card
This happens with every activision game i play
Where can you download itneed helpcall of duty wont work
Where can you download itneed helpcall of duty wont work
To find your GPU, go to run and type DxDiag and click the display tab and there is the display device (your GPU). Sounds like you have onboard, which I won't think would cover it. but you could look up and reinstall drivers.
The graphics or display card is a Nividea RIVA TNT2 Model 64/Model 64 ProDoes that support open GLand where can i download it

I get this error when i try to play...WARNING: could not set the given mode (3)

I cannot play Enemy terrortory either
I cannot play Enemy terrortory either
You definitely can't play Enemy Territory: Quake Wars. I have no idea why you'd even try. You're nowhere close to the minimum required specs.
Can run it ,use this link to check compatibility
Cannot believe you managed to hold on to your old TNT card for so long. I mean how did you manage? You will never be able to play today's game with that. It's not just peformance it lacks, but the core features NEEDED to run today's games. No pixel/vertex shaders, no DX9/OpenGL2.0 support and no Hardware T%26L. You wouldn't stand a chance to run it at all.Time for a Whole spanking new rig my friend. I congradulate you for holding out on such hardware for 9-10 years.
CoD requires a card that has hardware T%26L. A TnT does not. It's a feature introduced with the first Geforce and Radeon cards, almost 10 years ago...
You need a better video card. If you have a pci or agp slot, those cards are really cheap. Call of duty one requires a gl/video card. Quake3 was the first game to require a video card almost 10years ago like Gog said.
