Intel's CPU'S

who is the fast one and best for gaming, also for long term!!!???E8400E8500Q6600Q9300Q9450Intel's CPU'S
long term ... i'd say the Q9450. And yes it's pretty damn fast and overclockable too ;)Intel's CPU'S
yes it but 400$
Well you asked which was the best he gave the answer. Are you looking for best bang for the buck?
Q6600.
the e8400 is the best bang for the buck if you want a core 2 duo and the q6600 is the best bang for the buck for core 2 quads but it has heat issues (but you can overcome it with an aftermarket fan),I recommend that you either buy the q6600 or the q9300,the q9450 is only 5% to 7% faster than q6600 so not worth the extra $ if you only interested in gaming.I believe that in a year or 2,all games will utilize four cores. So on paper ,q6600 is faster that e8400 and more futerproof....
The Q6600 is very cheap and very overclockable. I recommend it.
E8600 at 250$ : 2008 : Q3 August
Q9550 310$-350$
QX9650 500$
by end of summer

the E8500 hands down owns all of those chips... for one it clocked at 3.0ghz( i think, might be 3.2) but it also has 6mb of L2 cache wich for a dual core is huge... not to mention its smaller than all the resst at onl 45nm... and its really overclockable... and it costs 200$... for the most part quad-cores are worse for gaming right now...
Actually the E8500 should be 200 now as of the price drop, with the E8400 coming in at around 170.
The Q6600 is very cheap and very overclockable. I recommend it.
same here, i have one, and im rly happy with it

By the time games that use all four cores come out, a q6600 or q9450 will be crap. You are best off getting an E8400 or E8500. And this is coming from an owner of a Q6600. But, either way, you will be happy.
yes it but 400$
for at least a year or so the e8500 will destory the others, even the e8400 will smoke all those quads

im going intel cpu by October-November
im still thinking would it really work fine to go nehalem straight ? i doubt so
so should i go e8600 or Q9650 not the QX tough a I wonder if there gonna be a much difference of Q9650 at 500$VS QX9650
just want best setting XD for future 2009. if it use better Quad like unreal tournament 3 or supreme commander
a nice 3.8Ghz OC Quad core like Q9650 not QX should work fine
unless it worth much more to go nehalem but i doubt of it since it totaly new Brand motherboard so no super chipset like X48 For nehalem i heard X52 ? or X58 they call so not so good at start or possible
By the time games that use all four cores come out, a q6600 or q9450 will be crap.
and by that time the e8400 and the e8500 will be tha crapiest of all processors

Why? Because higher clock-speed, higher performance... You can prove it with benchmark...
i like the order you have it in. thing is, most games dont utilize quad core right now, so most of the dual core cpus have an edge on the quads i believe. but they are all still beastly and of course quad is better of all around use and future use....tho again by the time most games use quad those processors wont be emazing for it.
Q6600.
Agreed! best value for money right now and will last you longer than any duel core.
