which one is better?HD 3450 or 8600gt?i want to run crysis, call of duty 4, and the new upcoming games like far cry 2, call of duty world at war, spore, etc. hd 3450 vs 8600gt
The 8600GT is better but there both sub par $50-$60 lowend cards, They will run those games you listed but the settings will be mostly medium if the rest of your specs are good. Some games like crysis/farcry 2 might require you to turn a few things on low depending on your system.hd 3450 vs 8600gt

[/QUOTE] Its a $50-$60 lowend card that can play most in 2007 on high ONLY if the rest of your specs are good and your resolution low which isn't good. Its not aging well and games like crysis push it to medium with a few things on low.
well out of those two the 8600gt is alot better than the 3450 (i thought the 3650 was the ati equivalent)but it wont get you the best settings.
3450 is a multimedia card. Silent and does much or less everything except games. It's alot cheaper too.. or at least it should be than 8600gt
fyi my pc only fits low profile cards - so 8600gt is the best
