Well, can you still get to the BIOS?
ok just a minute ago the system did boot and an error came up in red saying like something about overclocking and that the systems cpu would be set back to its original setting. (the stock setting 2.2 GHz). Perhaps this means i shouldnt overclock anymore? I just dont understand why it did this even though it worked fine running games.
Are you using an aftermarket cooler?
You might need to reset the BIOS. There should be something in the manuel regarding a 3 prong with a bridge between two of them. You need to move it over 1 pin and turn on the computer. That should reset to default BIOS settings.
nope i'm using a zalman 9700. Temps were fine when i ran it at 3.0 GHz yesterday.

seems you need to up the vcore cpu, looks unstable.

seems you need to up the vcore cpu, looks unstable.
what u mean?
You OC'ed too far and your system became unstable. You are probably wondering whether your action damaged your computer, it didn't. If you can't get the CPU beyond that point, you may need to lower memory timing, lower Hypertransport/threading, and increase voltage otherwise your computer will not boot or be unstable and crash.
