xbox 360 wireless adapters please help.

Hey whats up guys you see im lookin to go on the awesome xbox live. But then a brick wall hit me the wireless adpater is 100 bucks and thats not the main problem, it does not come with a wire so i cant move it around so its attached to the back of my 360 the entire time. So i wont be able to get a good connection because the only way i go on the internet is by moving my laptop around the apartment and tryin to get a good connection. I know that there are other wireless adapters for the 360 but do u think they are good like the 360s wireless adapter cause i need to pick up a good signal the router is far away and my laptop can get it if its position rite but i cant move my 360 around. Is there anyway that i can connect to the awesome xbox live or am i hopeless.xbox 360 wireless adapters please help.
Do you even have your own wireless router and DSL or cable, or are you just mooching off of your neighbor's wireless connection? You don't have to lie. Unless you have a huge house or a really crappy router I find it hard to believe you would have to move your laptop around to get a signal. One option would be to buy a Linksys WRT54GL wireless router, install DD-WRT, and set it up as a wireless bridge. That will give you wireless for anything connected to your TV. xbox 360 wireless adapters please help.

I would suggest bridging the laptop connection to the 360. It would save you $100, the only downside, the laptop has to be on whenever you want to go online.
lol yah im mooching off my neighboors (i live in a 3 story apartment) and i also cant have the laptop soon im gona sell it to pay for some stuff i know its horrible but i would relly like to get on live.
