I have a My Book 500GB external HDD which I used for mass storage. Since my computer was so messed up I decided to to a clean install of Vista Home Premium. So I backed up everything from my pictures to my music. I booted to the Windows installation disc, followed the instruction, deleted/created the partitions, formatted etc. Once Vista was fully installed it was time to recover and copy my music etc from my external drive to my computer. My Book is found in My Computer next to Local Disk but whe I double click it syays J:| is not accessible. Access denied. HELP!?!?!?!?! How do I recover my data?External Drive Access Denied HELP!
when you boot up your comp let it run the scan,if it's external then i would rip everything off and connect it directly to your comps wiring (dont mess around if you dont know how though) if you dont want to do those then right click and select scan in one of the tabs.External Drive Access Denied HELP!
