HELP - Ethernet Connection

Please I need help.I have a p35-ds3l board, but my internet connection does not connect. It's not the internet connection as I've tested it on my laptop and it works fine. My problem is I'm not sure if it's a hardware or software problem. I've done a complete reformat and reinstalled all the drivers for the Realtek NIC. But still it keeps giving the ''limited or no connectivity'' message, when trying to re-new the IP address. I fear something's wrong with the board, which is odd because everything else works perfectly and Windows says the ethernet is working. PLEASE, can someone help me.
