Im going to be buying one of these computers within the month. Which one should I buy?http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=6493574 - More powerful computer.http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=6622194 - Pretty good computer + 24'' monitor.Helpppp! :/
Look for a regular size ATX mobo, P31 chipset should be pretty cheap now, if not that one is ok i guess if it's cheaper. Go with the Centurion 5, 4GB, drop to down to the E7200 and stick with the 4870, you can go with the 550W regardless then save for a monitor. A 24'' is probably going to need dual GPUs to max out games @ 19*12.Helpppp! :/

Go with the second choice and save yourself some cash. There is really no reason to spend over $1000 on a gaming computer.
Anyone else? :?
I would go with the second build if all your interseted in is maxing source games, however its probably not a good idea to get a 24 inch monitor with that setup because your GPU wont be up to the task of displaying games at 1920x1280 res, at least for a prolonged period of time.

[/QUOTE] What games wont HD 4870 run well on a 24''?:? It gets 30 flat with Crysis, I think the settings are high.http://benchmarkreviews.com/index.php?option=com_content%26task=view%26id=192%26Itemid=1%26limit=1%26limitstart=6
30 FPS isn't exactly high, and for a resolution of 1920x1280 the HD 4850 wont be able to play that res for more than 1.5 years. It would be a better idea to just go with a smaller monitor like a 20-22 inch monitor with a res of 1680x1050, that way your rig will be able to play at that resolution for a longer period of time.
