^^ whats basically up there. My main problem is that there arn't always a 64bit driver for a hardware so I don't know if the 32bit version will be compatible.Plus I have a few games that I need to finish, main one being the witcher, Will I be able to run it without downloading any extra files? Is it possible to install 32bit drivers in Vista64bit?
Well the best thing to do is go to your hardware vendors website and see if they have the drivers for Vista 64. Vista 64 has better driver support than XP 64. Most software will work on a 64bit OS but will just run in 32bit mode (e.g. be installed in the program files (x86) folder for XP 64). The Witcher should work fine, according to Microsoft's website. Is it possible to install 32bit drivers in Vista64bit?
Btw no, 32bit drivers don't normally work with 64bit OSs
So basically 32but SW will still work on 64bit OS, it'll just run in 32bit? if so that's good news for me. thx :).
32-bit drivers won't work on Vista64. Even worse, you can only use 64-bit drivers that have been approved by MS.
