I mean, people say they are a no name company so I shouldn't buy off of em yet.. but
the video cards I want from them look pretty nice stats wise D:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500023like that 8800GT with 1GB D: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500037
or that 9800 X_X
I mean i'm pretty tempted.. but do you think it's worth it?ZOTAC made video cards.. trust or no trust?
Probably won't OC as much because they're the cheapest but i hear they're a pretty good company. eVGA might have some cheaper versions of those cards. ZOTAC made video cards.. trust or no trust?
my friend has the 8800gt 1gb from zotac. it sucks
my friend has the 8800gt 1gb from zotac. it sucks
WTH does that mean?..............
It was out performed by my hd 3870 512mb
Yeah the evga 8800GT is $149 before rebates and $129 after. It might be the 512mb version but the 8800GT can't even utilize more than 512mb so 1GB is a waste. Also to the topic creator do you have a good enough powersupply for these cards because your going to need at leasat a good quality 400-500w and addtional plugs (8800gt requires 1x6pin connector and the 9800gtx requires 2x6pin connectors)
my friend has the 8800gt 1gb from zotac. it sucks
How do you mean? The cards is precisly the same as any other brands, the difference is the price and warranty.X360PS3AMD05 got it all wrong, it's the batch and serie of the GPU that matters, (how well the gpu can OC) all GraphicProcessoringUnit are made of Nvidia even if the zotac sell the cards, OC has nothing to do with what company the card is from, the difference could be if a card maker sell the product with a few mods (usally OC verions) a such card can have better capasitors or a diffrent memory chip(very rare) or a diffrent heat sink but apart from small diffrence the card architecture is the same on all cards, and for mostly any card from any sub-maker have the same chance to be a great OC card. The sticker on the fan or the warranty on the card tell'us nothing about the chance to do a great OC!

Could be. But personally I'd get a 512 version from a better company, better warrantee, and for less money.

Gaming wise the 8800GT is about 10-20% faster easy
Cheaper chips, caps, whatever to cut costs. Just like a $70 mobo compared to a $130 one.
Cheaper chips, caps, whatever to cut costs. Probably cut costs on the PCB, bus, RAM chips, etc...
Probably cut costs on the PCB, bus, RAM chips, etc...
No they don't the difference is more like in warrany/costomer support/where the card was ensambled/how big order they can sell...

Not too long ago vendors didn't just rebrand reference cards with stickers.
They do, i've seen several reviews where they compare cards from different vendors and it's obvious some cheap out.
They do, i've seen several reviews where they compare cards from different vendors and it's obvious some cheap out.
And is zotac one of thoose? hardly, the PCB/cooler looks just as the reference card with just a diffrent sticker tho..And ofcourse they did cut down on somthing but is it on the design of the card or is the cut-down on somthing else?... Saphire is one of the most popular ATI cardmanuf. but they are usally the cheapest one to, price is not only due to some cheapo on the card, how can you guys say somthing as stupid as price equal quality on a hardware forum? Both you and me know it don't work that way with hardware, it's more things than that to take into calculations. Is the card cheap cos they did cheapo on the card? possebly, but highly unlikely.
so can i go for the 9800 GT? :o
and if you must know
http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=10113848that's the build :o
Zotac=Sapphire, they are the same company one manufactures nvidia cards and the other manufactures ati cards ,and sapphire is the number one seller of ati cards ,that means that the company has good quality products.Zotac hasn't been as old as evga or xfx, thats why its not very popular, and I bet if they increased the price tags on it ,every body will asume that they are the best. All reference cards are the exact same quality only differ in warranties. So for noobs who say it won't oc as much they have no idea.Btw, I've seen a zotac 8800gt AMP edition that beats 8800gtx
