Still Crashing

I thought after I reinstalled a new version of windows starting from scratch would get rid of my computer crashing problem, but apparently not. Ok so this crashing seems to happen when loading something, usually on the internet. I started noticing it after making my new build with some new components and some old ones. My abit A87hd mobo and amd athlon x2 5600+ processor are the new components. The old ones are my 300gb wd hd, my geforce 7950gt, and my coolmax 550w power supply. So a few days before my new build, my old build fell of my bed about 2 ft. however it kinda rolled down my leg. Anyway the power supply, and hd that were in that build appeared to be ok, and both dont show any signs of damage, but I am not ruling out the possibility of them cause this problem in my new build. However, I did think that usually if the hard drive was having problems or dying it would make wierd noises which is what my older one did before it died. And the power supplys being damaged or not giving enough power usually result in reboots right? not just simple crashes where I can only power off or reset. All the other components involved in the fall are not used in this build. My new components are my mobo and computer, both of which appear to work fine and dont show any signs of malfunction. So Im not even sure this is a hardware issue. If anyone has had this type of crashing before or has any idea what would be the cause of this please give me some advice on what I can do to fix this. Its not completely debilitating but It does get annoying and maybe harmful in the future, so please any help is welcome. Still Crashing
are you temps ok? have you got all the latest drivers? how many amps does your power supply have? but it looks fine. If the hdd spins up fine and reads and writes fine then the hdd isn't faulty. could be faulty ram. try putting just one stick in and see if it still crashes, if it doesn't try the other one and see if that's fine. have you got any other power supplies you could try? I did have a similar problem a few years back and I replaced the power supply and the problem mostly went away. Still Crashing
Ya it might be the power supply. After all it isnt the best quality. Its a coolmax 550w with 2 12v rails 18A on one 16A on the other. However, before my new setup there were no problems. My new setup is essentially the same as the old, except for the addition of a 80mm side fan, new motherboard and processor (close to what I had before, maybe a bit more power usage), and a different dvd drive that should have no take in this problem what so ever. The ram was fine before and nothing has really changed. So I guess I will try my new PSU and if I still have problems then I really don't know what the heck it could be.
bump please need help. and what are the chances that switching off which the psu switch once will f*ck up my pc. Just did it lol im a dipsh*t
