bumpcome on guys no one owns a laptop they game on christPost Your Gaming Laptop Specs HERE!
They are too expensive; and I don't really game outside of my house so...
I have an Asus laptop with a Core 2 Duo T5550 / 8600M GT that performs pretty well, at least with the Orange Box games, Total War games, and Civ 4. It's hardly a desktop substitute, but it's good for a secondary computer or for use on the road (plugged in of course or you get 20 minutes on the battery). So long as you don't intend it to be a desktop replacement you can do pretty well with $1200-1500 Asus laptops.

I just purchased a Sager NP5796 with the following specs:-17'' WSXGA+ Display @ 1680x1050-Intel Duel Core T9400 @ 2.53 mHz, 6 MB Cache, 1066 mHz FSB-4 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1066 mHz-NVidia 9800m GT with 512 MB GDDR3 RAM-200 GB HDD @ 7200 RPM Basically the best videocard you can get right now except the 9800m GTX, lets hope it runs crysis well

GateWay FX whatever

GeForce 8800 GT

3 gig RAM (I think DDR2)

Intel Core2 Duo CPU 1.8GHz (kind of it's weak point.:?)

Am I forgetting something? Meh, whatever. I'm not super hardcore into specs but this can play what I want so I'm happy. I'm thinking about upgrading the CPU though. (I heard you can do that with this laptop.)
I ''game'' on my Dell Insiron 1520 in tuxedo black:Intel C2D T7300 @2ghz 4mb l2 cache 800Mhz FSB2Gb DDR2 at 667MhzGeforce 8600m Gt 25615.4 inch @ 1680x1050 (WSXGA+)It's played everything I've thrown at at rather well including crysis on medium @ 1024x768at 25fps+
Does anyone know of a good site that tells about upgrading laptops that's in English? I would like to know how far I can upgrade the CPU and if I can get faster RAM (DDR3?) but I don't really know much about chip brands and model numbers so I'm a bit lost. I don't need to know how to put it in, just what I can put in it and where I can buy it. I'm probably gonna have to go to Best Buy and get them to put it in anyways. (Yea yea, I know that's extremely dumb because it's most likely a simple process I could probably do on my own. But I have a 3 year warranty at BB and opening it myself will probably void it.:()
