it will need to be formated. go into administrated tool and disk management and there should be there and it will say unallocated. right click on it and create a new partition.if admin tools aren't in the start menu right click on the start menu>propertise>customize>tick administrative tools from the list

New HDD, New Problems...
I just bought a brand new Seagate Barracuda 250GB SATA 3.0 HDD. The SATA cable is connected on both ends, and it is also connected via SATA power cable to my PSU. When I boot up my PC, the harware manager recognized it, and so does PC Wizard...it just simply will not show up under ''My Computer'.I also have a 80GB IDE HDD as my main drive, and whenver I go to ''Disk Managment'', it only show my IDE drive and not my new one. I really have no idea what to do...I hate asking questions on here, but I'm stumped. New HDD, New Problems...
