Everyday computing build

basically my parents want to get a new computer for things like checking email, music downloads, browsing the web etc. and im wondering if would be more cost efficient for me to build one for them as opposed to them buying one. Will be back tomorrow to check the responses, thanksEveryday computing build
Building it will be more cost efficient, but you should have stated how much you are willing to spend. You would get some nice every computing performance out of $400, or less. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147073 Case:$22http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371005 PSU:$40http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128076 Motherboard:$48http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116052 CPU:$70http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145539 RAM:$20 (good deal imo)http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823109156 KB/M:$22http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827106095 Optical Drive:$16http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136075 Hard Drive:$44http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116511 XP with SP3:$90Comes out to $372 before shipping, and IMO is a pretty good PC for everyday stuff. If you were to game, just add a good GPU. Everyday computing build
