lol i dont relaly care about the illegal part of it. But ive heard that many of the cracks contain viruses and I wouldnt be able to update the OS

just crack it. MS puts ads on the 360 dashboard even when you pay for live (so in my opinion if you have a 360 and live all MS products should be free :P). Most of the time you can update without waiting for cracks, just make sure to uncheck WGA(Windows Genuine Advantage) No harm in having to wait a bit for an update anyway (unless you are one of those extreamly parinoid types ''OMG VIRUSIS'' ...just use common sense)/my 2 centsdo what you want to do

if its anything like xp, then getting ms software will be a pain in the ass with a illegal version of windows, and have you head of wga? it is now integrated into vista so lots of annoying ''you are the victom of counterfit software'' messages
