Hi, I am trying to record videos with fraps, but it gives me no audio for Detect best sound input, so i try the use windows input option. When i do this, it always puts it as the frontmic, and not the speakers, so when I record it just uses my mic... I do not know how to chnage this to the Speakers, theres no option to change the device, it always selects Frontmic, how do i fix it? By the way I am using Vista (it says Vista for Sound Device?) and yes I have the record sound button checked.Fraps records no audio
Get into your Windows Volume control (don't know how to get there on Vista, but I'm sure it's there.), find recording volume, and then make sure ''Wave'', ''Stereo Mix'' or ''What U Hear'' (Depends on your soundcard), is unmuted and the volume is maxed, if none of those appear, go into file, properties, and then select what sources are available. (I don't know if they changed this in Vista, but those will work on XP.)
Now your sound recording source should be whatever sound is coming from your speakers.Fraps records no audio
Ok I made the steriomix all the way up, but fraps still insta uses the frontmic... how do I change that.
No version of FRAPS has ever worked with my computer. One version though did give me video only in Windows Media Player.
Ok guys I just fixed it finally, I had to set the Sterio Mix as the Default in properties, thanks for the help Marfoo! And F7... I don't know how to help you without any details.
Hey guys, iv had fraps for a while and used the demo but when i got the full thing, the sound started to come from the microphone and its horribly annoying. Iv looked at what you guys said to do, but i dont have ''Wat u hear'', everyone seems to be talking about that but i have Realtek HD audio input.yes i tried both ''Detect best sound input'' and ''use windows input'' but it doesnt seem to work.:(
