3 monitors one pc?

Is it possible to have 3 monitors running off one PC using a 2 headed DVI ai graphics card i have and the built in graphics thing on the motherboard?3 monitors one pc?
Why would you want to do that anyway?3 monitors one pc?
If your integrated graphics is an ATI chip, and your graphics card is an ATI card, then yes, I think they allow this feature. If not, you may want to look at something like this.It will let you hook up 3 displays with only one video connection, it makes 3 monitors be recognized as one device.
Why would you want to do that anyway?
It's not unusual for a workstation computer when using CAD or other design software where lots of high resolution space is a plus.
THANKS... BUT my motherboard has a nvidia graphics chipset so i guess ill just use 2 monitors.
I only use 2 monitors. One 41 inch HDTV and one 21 inch LCD monitor.
I used a dual monitor setup once. I never got used to it tho.
yeah just drop a second card into the slot, preferably of the opposite company so the drivers dont interfere
2 Headed DVI = 2monitors running the exact same picture + decreased Quality and ghosting.I'd go for 2 parellel displays running at high resolution. You will definately need a good graphcis card though (Integrated won't cut it). I don't know if workstation graphics designed for CAD can even do 2 parellel 1900x1200 displays.

That's some pretty inane advice. But back to the OP...Matrox TripleHead is the way to go for 3 monitors. It was originally designed for stockbrokers and 3d artists, but offers comprehensive support for a number of games, particularly driving and flight sims.

Why is this bad advice? I've looked into getting a third monitor and have seen this advice stated several times. My primary card is nVidia and I've picked out a cheap ATI to run both secondary screens.

The reason for three screens if anyone cares is because I already have dual screens, but they're ''low res'' for today's hardware (1280 x 1024). I was going to get a higher res widescreen and since I already have these two why not use them all, you know?

Once you have multiple screens it's very hard to go back.
Nothing? Is that good advice or bad?
Nothing? Is that good advice or bad?
You can't put two different cards in one pc ,specially If one is ATI and the other is NVIDIA !!!!!!
