Use the Disk Management tool to format the drive.
wheres that?
I was just about to make a thread about this! I bought a new Seagate Barracuda 250GB SATA 3.0 HDD, and when I installed it, both my Hardware Manager and PC Wizard recognized it, but it's nowhere to be found in ''My Computer''.
Start -> Run -> Compmgmt.mscThe Disk Management tool is in there, and you should be able to format your new drive. If you're on Vista, I'm not sure how to do it though.
Start, then right click ''My computer'' then click ''Manage'' Then ''Disk Management''. It should show your HD there. Just right click and format.
